Two unusual cookbooks that combine good recipes with inspiration for the cook are on display this month. One is "The Church Ladies’ Celestial Suppers and Sensible Advice" by Brenda Miller, which is a collection of recipes presented by African American women from across the country. The "Mitford Cookbook and Kitchen Reader" contains recipes and comments relating to the stories of Father Tim and his family and friends in Mitford. Anyone who uses a recipe from one of these books at the next potluck dinner will receive a prize from the library.
